Posters and large format prints questions

Straight answers.

If yours is not here, call or text 512-817-2200 and a real person picks up.

How much does a large poster cost to print?

Posters are quoted on the ticket by size, material, mounting and quantity. Mounting on board adds cost but saves you a frame.

What resolution do I need for a large poster?

Aim for 150 DPI at the final size. Posters are viewed from a few feet away, so they do not need 300 DPI like a business card. Logos and text should be vector so the edges stay sharp.

What is the difference between foam board and gator board?

Foam board is light and cheap, good for a single indoor event. Gator board has a harder face and stays flat longer, so it holds up to repeat use.

Can you print a poster from a phone photo?

Often, yes, depending on the size. Send the original file, not a screenshot or a texted copy. We tell you on the proof how big it can go before it looks soft.

Do you print seating charts and welcome signs for events?

Yes. Seating charts, welcome signs and sponsor boards are common large format jobs. Mounted on foam board with an easel back, they are ready to set out.

Do you print Big Head cutouts?

Yes. Big Head prints are their own product in our shop, and they ship free.
